From 5 to 9 October 2025, three teachers from the CHAIN Consortium participated in an Erasmus+ mobility at Escola les Eres, in Creixell, Tarragona, Spain. The mobility included two job shadowing activities and one teaching assignment, offering the participating teachers the opportunity to observe, teach, exchange ideas and strengthen cooperation with colleagues from the host school.
During the week, the teachers became familiar with the school’s organisation, facilities and everyday educational environment. They took part in a guided school tour, met members of the teaching staff and discussed the school’s structure, resources and teaching context.
As part of the job shadowing activities, the participants observed classroom teaching in subjects such as English and Music. These observations helped them reflect on teaching strategies, classroom management, student engagement and ways in which different methodologies can be adapted to their own school contexts.
The programme also included workshops organised by the host school, focusing on innovative methodologies, collaborative teaching approaches and professional exchange. Through these activities, the teachers had the opportunity to compare educational practices, discuss common challenges and explore new ideas for their own classrooms.
A strong intercultural dimension was also included in the mobility. The participants took part in cultural exchange activities involving traditional dances and songs, while they also presented their own school context and learned more about the educational practices of the host school. These moments supported dialogue, mutual understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity.
An important part of the programme was the planning of future cooperation through eTwinning. The teachers participated in working sessions focused on designing future collaborative projects, strengthening the European dimension of the partnership and creating opportunities for continued cooperation between schools.
The teaching assignment focused on Greek Mythology with Game-Based Learning. The participating teacher delivered lessons to students of different age groups, using card-based games designed to promote active participation, storytelling, creativity and learning through play. Through this activity, Greek mythology became a tool for intercultural learning, language development and cultural expression.
At the end of the mobility, the teachers participated in evaluation and reflection sessions with colleagues from the host school. These discussions helped them assess the learning outcomes of the mobility, share feedback and identify possible ways to transfer the acquired knowledge and practices to their own schools.
We warmly thank Escola les Eres, the Erasmus+ coordinator Maria Rodríguez Florido, the school leadership, teachers and students for their warm welcome, support and collaboration throughout the mobility.
This Erasmus+ experience contributed to the professional development of the participating teachers, strengthened intercultural dialogue and opened new possibilities for cooperation, creativity and innovation within the CHAIN Consortium.
