Welcoming Our Spanish Colleagues to Florina!

From 24–26 November, the schools of the CHAIN Consortium had the pleasure of hosting three teachers from Colegio Público Ferrer y Racaj in Ejea de los Caballeros, Spain. Our visitors – Marta, Iván, and Celia – joined us for a three-day job shadowing experience across all our member schools.

This was the second visit from Ferrer y Racaj, following the group who joined us last year. Our own teachers have also travelled to their school, establishing a partnership that has now grown into a warm, trusted, and ongoing collaboration between our schools.

During their stay, our Spanish colleagues visited:

🔹 Experimental Primary School of Florina
🔹 5th Primary School of Florina
🔹 Primary School of Vevi
🔹 Primary School of Ydrousa

They observed a variety of lessons, took part in classroom activities, and explored how our schools implement innovative teaching approaches. They also attended the Robotics Clubs of both the Experimental School and the 5th Primary School.

A special moment of the visit was the exchange between students and teachers:

  • Our guests presented their school and community to our pupils.
  • Our students proudly shared their own projects and day-to-day school life.

In addition, the teachers had the opportunity to watch student teachers from the University of Western Macedonia during their practicum at the Experimental Primary School — offering a deeper look into how we connect theory with classroom practice.

We were truly delighted to welcome Mara, Iván, and Celia to Florina. Their enthusiasm, openness, and warmth made these three days meaningful for all of us.

🤝 The relationship between our schools continues to grow, and we are already looking forward to our next meeting!
