A Unique Week of Job Shadowing, Collaboration, and Inspiration in Florina

From May 5th to 9th, 2025, our Cultural Heritage Art and Innovation Consortium (CHAIN) hosted a job shadowing and invited expert week that brought together teachers from across Europe. We welcomed colleagues from CEIP Victor Mendoza (Spain), Katarina Södra Skola (Sweden), and I.C. Tropea-Ricadi Don Francesco Mottola (Italy), as well as Lucia Roncarati from I.C.S. Adele Zara in Venice, Italy, who led a dynamic workshop on international cooperation strategies within the Erasmus+ framework.

This special week combined job shadowing visits to our schools, an inspiring workshop, and cultural excursions, creating a vibrant atmosphere of shared learning and professional growth. Participants explored rural education practices in Vevi and Ydrousa, observed innovative lessons at the 5th Primary School of Florina and the Experimental Primary School of Florina, and joined creative technology activities at our afternoon clubs and Maker Labs.

The workshop led by Lucia Roncarati sparked valuable discussions on fostering partnerships and strengthening the European dimension of education. Throughout the week, teachers exchanged ideas on inclusive teaching methods, experiential learning, and the integration of art, technology, and local heritage into daily classroom practice.

Beyond the structured program, the week was marked by meaningful conversations, new friendships, and a shared commitment to innovative education. We extend our warmest thanks to all the visiting teachers for their curiosity, openness, and inspiring contributions, as well as to our local teaching teams for their enthusiastic participation and hospitality.

This unique gathering showcased the power of collaboration and set the stage for future European partnerships and projects. We look forward to building on these connections and continuing to foster creativity, inclusion, and innovation in our schools!
